As the West and NATO risk escalation with Russia by continuously crossing Moscow’s red lines by providing battle tanks and possibly F-16s in the future to Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has consistently pushed for more support from his Western allies and demanded NATO membership to the point of threatening to not attend NATO’s upcoming Vilnius summit in July unless Ukraine is given a ‘signal’ toward membership in the alliance.

Schiebel has exhibited a new airborne laser payload onboard its S-300 Camcopter unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at the Paris Air Show 2023, held from 19 to 25 June.
The payload, dubbed VQ-840-G, is a compact airborne laser scanner developed by Riegl. The sensor is designed for high-resolution surveying of underwater topography with a narrow, visible green laser beam that penetrates water enabling measurement of submerged targets.

The European Defence Agency (EDA), an EU agency that develops military resources, has completed its Tactical Advanced Laser Optical System (TALOS) project.
This is a major collaborative defence research project launched under the European Commission’s Preparatory Action onf Defence Research (PADR) scheme.
The project developed a compact design laser able to quickly and precisely neutralise an agile target – for example: rocket artillery and mortar or uncrewed aerial vehicles, while significantly minimising collateral damage.

An uprated and more powerful version of the Diamond Aircraft Reconnaissance Trainer (DART) aircraft was showcased at the Paris Air Show 2023 for the first time on 19 June.
The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-25C-powered DART-750 (named after the 750 shp of the engine) was displayed in the static line-up at Le Bourget just seven days after making its maiden flight on 12 June.
