The U.S. military is helping plan the overall American government’s humanitarian relief mission to Venezuela after the country was rocked by magnitude 7.1- and 7.5 earthquakes on Wednesday, according to U.S. Southern Command, or SOUTHCOM.
“Our joint forces are moving quickly to bring the unmatched airlift, logistics, and lifesaving capabilities of the U.S. military to help save lives and support the Government of Venezuela during this crisis,” according to a SOUTHCOM statement posted on social media.

Ukraine’s long-range drone and missile strike campaign intensified yet again overnight on June 24-25, striking two oil refineries in Ufa, some 1,500 kilometers from the front lines.

Additional strikes occurred at an oil depot in the Krasnodar region, some 300 kilometers from Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the strikes in his evening address on Wednesday, describing them once again as part of a “long-range sanctions” pressure campaign designed to neutralize Russia’s wartime economy.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Kyiv will carry out preemptive strikes on Russian war production facilities in his ‌evening address on Wednesday, as Kyiv expands strikes on energy infrastructure in an attempt to force Moscow into talks.

“I instructed our intelligence services and military to act preemptively against facilities ⁠Russia uses to expand its war effort,” Zelenskyy said.

Russia was once again hit by overnight strikes by Ukrainian forces, this time striking two additional Russian oil refineries in Ufa, some 1,500 kilometers away from the front line, and an oil depot in Krasnodar, some 300 kilometers from Ukraine. In the wake of the strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that Russia is now taking steps to protect its most valuable targets by shifting air defenses from the front lines.
