The U.S. Army is giving HIMARS a new target: enemy warships.
Precision Strike Missile Increment 2 is being developed with a multi-mode seeker capable of tracking moving targets, including vessels at sea. If it works as intended, mobile Army launchers positioned along coastlines and Pacific islands could threaten ships hundreds of miles away.
