Ukraine’s deputy intelligence chief says Russia is ramping up ballistic and cruise missile production, exploiting shortages of Patriot interceptors and targeting Ukrainian defence and energy infrastructure.
Missile launches have reportedly more than tripled between April and July, while production of weapons including the Iskander-M, Kh-101 and Kalibr is exceeding monthly targets.
With winter approaching, there are also fears Russia could launch another major campaign against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
