The President of Fiji, Ratu Naiqama Tawakecolati Lalabalavu has visited Tidworth Garrison to meet with serving personnel and their families.
The president was treated to a formal traditional welcome ceremony involving the presentation of a whale’s tooth, a giant cake and a feast of food cooked by the local community and its young people.
It was was his excellency’s first visit to the Garrison – though not a first for his family. His son who serves with the Royal Engineers was based here until just two months ago.
