As well as launching military action against Ukraine, Moscow has also tried to strangle the country’s economy by mining the Black Sea – the major route for Ukrainian grain shipments.
The Ukrainian Navy is taking part in Exercise Sea Breeze off the South Coast of England, working alongside the UK and other NATO nations to refine its mine hunting skills for the day when they can return to clear the waters around ports like Odessa.
