The Royal Navy is carrying out flying trials of the Peregrine Rotary Wing Uncrewed Aircraft System (RWUAS) from the deck of Type 23 frigate HMS Lancaster.
The Peregrine can deliver all-weather surveillance, pattern-of-life monitoring, as well as change detection and wide area coverage.
Able to work alongside a crewed Wildcat helicopter, its new surveillance sensors provide real-time images and radar data during patrols – providing a long overdue capability set to transform operations for the Royal Navy.
