A poll conducted by BFBS Forces News shows strong public backing for the Government’s new Armed Forces Gap Year scheme.
More than 1,100 people responded to the poll on our YouTube channel, with 75% expressing support. Of those, 45% said they strongly support the scheme, while 35% somewhat support it. However, 14% of respondents strongly opposed the one-year paid programme.
Officially known as the Armed Forces Foundation Scheme, the initiative is part of the Government’s effort to raise awareness of growing security threats facing the UK, particularly from Russia, while also aiming to boost recruitment into the Armed Forces.
